Wayne Crosby Joins Kismet as Advisor: Founder of Google Slides, 2x YC, Former Google Director of Engineering

We’re excited to welcome Wayne Crosby- founder of Google Slides and longtime mentor- as an advisor to Kismet to help us reimagine how golf events are run.

We’re thrilled to share that Wayne Crosby has officially joined Kismet as an advisor.

Wayne is someone I’ve admired since the day we met. He took a chance on me as an engineer years ago- and he’s been a mentor, champion, and source of steady guidance ever since. Having him onboard in an official capacity as we build Kismet is a milestone I’m incredibly grateful for.

Wayne brings a rare mix of technical depth and product intuition. He was:

  • Founder of Google Slides, used by millions every day
  • Director of Engineering at Google for 10 years, where he led large, impactful teams
  • A 2x Y Combinator founder and most recently a Visiting Partner at Y Combinator
  • Now founder of OrgOrg, a new venture in the future-of-work space

Throughout his career - from Google to Humu to his own startups - Wayne has consistently focused on building products that make people’s lives better and teams more effective. His perspective, particularly around product-market fit, engineering culture, and long-term company building, is already helping shape how we operate.

At Kismet, we’re focused on transforming how golf events are planned and run- with a product that simplifies logistics, improves experiences, and helps events raise more. Having Wayne’s insight and belief in the vision is huge as we work toward that mission.

I can’t think of a better person to help guide this first chapter.
